Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Asaki Hanaki (ranked 4210 p4p, 3108 weight class) and Curtis Rome (ranked 454 p4p, 345 weight class). Hanaki comes to the cage accompanied by The HU - Wolf Totem. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Asaki Hanaki! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Curtis Rome! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Colin Fotheringham and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Rome changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Hanaki looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. Rome is looking to take a break and control but Hanaki is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Hanaki is pushing Rome's head away, looking to escape. Rome manages to hold on to the position though. Rome trying to control the action but Hanaki is working from the bottom. Rome is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Rome trying to control the position but Hanaki is working away. Rome tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
That's one minute gone in the round. Rome is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Hanaki is trying to escape and Rome transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Hanaki is forced to tap! Nice work there by Rome! Very nice indeed!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:23 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Curtis Rome! After winning the bout, Curtis Rome thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
