Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Lorato Nyambe (ranked 4114 p4p, 4089 weight class) and Gajah Mada (ranked 479 p4p, 475 weight class). Mada has chosen Fighter Mode as his entrance music. Gajah Mada struggled to make weight for this fight. He only made it down to 171.4lbs at the first attempt and had to take the additional two hours to make the official bout weight. Let's see how much it's taken out of him. Gajah Mada will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Lorato Nyambe!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 25 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Gajah Mada!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Trevor Gratis and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nyambe closes the distance and clinches.
Nyambe looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Mada lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Mada gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Nyambe.
Nyambe is looking to take this one to the mat.
Mada lands with a right to the head.
Mada is trying to push Nyambe away but Nyambe has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Nyambe has Mada pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. Mada manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Lorato Nyambe. That's going to take a lot out of him.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Nyambe is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Mada gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
Nyambe changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Mada fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Mada is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Nyambe's half guard.
Nyambe might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Mada is nestled in close to Nyambe, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Nyambe definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Mada looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Nyambe with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.

Mada takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Mada thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Nyambe's head.
Nyambe is looking for a sweep. Mada is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Mada is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Mada working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Mada thows a huge punch but Nyambe dodges it nicely.
Nyambe is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Mada scores with a couple of nice shots.
Mada not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Mada has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Nyambe defend it? Mada steps over the head and cranks it - Nyambe is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Mada!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Gajah Mada!
Gajah Mada seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
