The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bird swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Python counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Python wants to control from the top but Bird keeps moving.
Python drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Bird dives on top into guard.
Python looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Python is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Python seems keen to control Bird's posture.
Python is looking to stand up but Bird isn't so interested in that idea.
Python looking for a triangle here. Bird is fighting it but it looks tight! Python pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Bird is tapping out - this one is all over!
