PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Parkerdarker Wargas (ranked 6133 p4p, 5404 weight class) and Gerson Silva (ranked 562 p4p, 519 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Parkerdarker Wargas!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Gerson Silva!
The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Winston Alpacca and Santiago Holmes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva throws a body punch but Wargas moves out of range.
Silva scores with the left hand. Wargas knows he should have avoided that one.
Wargas really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Silva tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Silva thuds a left hand into Wargas's body.
Gerson Silva seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Wargas feints and as Silva raises his hands in defense, Wargas changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Wargas is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Silva has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Silva!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Wargas is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Silva's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Silva's back!

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Silva might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Wargas haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Silva in particular looking to stall.

That was a close second round but I would say that Parkerdarker Wargas will probably get the nod.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Wargas shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
