PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between James Gregor (ranked 619 p4p, 1373 weight class) and Anderson Nogueira (ranked 92 p4p, 185 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Anderson Nogueira was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nogueira moves into the clinch successfully.

Gregor breaks from the clinch.
Nogueira jabs Gregor right on the nose. Gregor blinks but takes it well.
Gregor misses with a lunging right hand
and Nogueira counters with a left to the body.
Gregor swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
The fight stays on the outside here - Nogueira looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
It looked like Gregor wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gregor has Nogueira pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Gregor pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Nogueira tumbling to the mat - Gregor dives into Nogueira 's guard.
We've been hearing good reports from Gregor's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Gregor gets to his feet and stands over Nogueira , holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Nogueira felt that one! Gregor unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Nogueira from any more punishment!
