Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Holden Gracie (ranked 1413 p4p, 1691 weight class) and Jean Luc Jalbert (ranked 212 p4p, 241 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Jean Luc Jalbert was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of New York, Jean Luc Jalbert!
The judges for this bout are Hugh Johnson, Summer Carpenter and Chris Dean.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gracie lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Gracie lands a head kick. Jalbert smiles back at him and beckons him forward.
Jalbert throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Gracie misses with a head kick.
Jalbert looks to score with a jab to the body but Gracie is just out of range.
Jalbert throws a hook to the side of Gracie's head but Gracie sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

Gracie gets a clinch.
Gracie lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage.
Gracie avoiding damage as Jalbert throws knees to the body.

Gracie tries to break free but Jalbert pushes him back against the cage.
Jalbert goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Gracie breaks the clinch.
Jalbert throws a looping overhand right but Gracie ducks down to avoid it.

Jalbert drives through and clinches with Gracie against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Jalbert tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Gracie's elbow.
Gracie avoiding damage as Jalbert throws knees to the body.
Gracie lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Jalbert backwards.

Gracie breaks the clinch.

Gracie has taken the fight to the clinch.
Jalbert tries to land knees in the clinch but Gracie avoids the damage to the body.

Gracie lands a shoulder strike.
Jalbert looking to throw knees to the head but Gracie is blocking nicely.

Jalbert misses with a knee strike.
Jalbert tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Gracie's elbow.
Gracie makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Gracie prevents a body shot from Jalbert.
Jalbert tries to work over Gracie's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Gracie blocking some punches.

Gracie breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Gracie clinches up with Jalbert and pushes him back against the cage.
Jalbert looking to throw knees to the head but Gracie is blocking nicely.

Gracie pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
A head kick misses from Gracie.
Gracie tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jalbert has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Jalbert there as he acknowledges the shot.
Gracie misses with a hook
letting Jalbert counter with a right hand.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Jalbert misses with a lunging right hand
enabling Gracie to counter with a crisp jab.
Jalbert takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gracie works over Jalbert's head and body with a nice combination.
Gracie lands a brutal head kick. Jalbert looks out on his feet and Gracie throws more strikes until the ref is forced to stop the fight!
