Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Damian Drake!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Donnie Larkin!
The judges for this bout are John Mangel, Ben Watson and Darius Henderson.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Larkin doesn't manage to clinch there - Drake circles away.
Drake throws a nice looking combination but Larkin bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Larkin takes a swing at Drake's ribcage but misses.

Drake drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Larkin taking a bit of punishment here - Drake scoring with strikes.
Drake misses with an attempted head punch from side control.
Larkin sneaks back into half guard.
Drake throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Drake drops an elbow to the side of Larkin's head.
Drake thows a huge punch but Larkin dodges it nicely.

Drake thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Larkin's head.
Drake slips a nice elbow through Larkin's hands, connecting with Larkin's forehead.
Larkin is trying to maintain the position but Drake is very close to passing his half guard.

Drake prevents Larkin from getting the reversal.
Drake throws a sloppy strike and Larkin uses the opportunity to reverse the position! A bit of a scramble here and Larkin has ended up in Drake's guard.
Drake seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Drake wants to sweep here but Larkin controlling him for the moment.

Larkin tries to free his leg and advance position but Drake is retaining full guard.
Larkin's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Drake has Larkin pulled in close to control his posture.
Drake manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Larkin manages to get himself to full guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Larkin has his feet on Drake's thighs here. He's pushed Drake off and worked for a very quick armbar from the bottom! He's flipped onto his stomach and he's cranking hard on the arm! Drake screams in pain and taps out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Donnie Larkin!
Donnie Larkin spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
