Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Joel Christ (ranked 4807 p4p, 6299 weight class) and Cletus McQuire (ranked 154 p4p, 170 weight class). Cletus McQuire has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Joel Christ's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Joel Christ! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Cletus McQuire! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! McQuire gets the takedown into side control. Christ wants to get back to his feet but McQuire drags him back down. Christ is not content to let McQuire control the position. Christ is trying to buck McQuire off. Christ is not content to let McQuire control the position. Christ is trying to escape and get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. McQuire should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. McQuire looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Christ wants to get back to his feet.

After a battle for position, McQuire asserts his dominance and retains side control. The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Christ trying desperately to get back to his feet here but he's not having any joy at all. He's going to tire himself out if he's not careful.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Christ throws a right hand that misses
and McQuire counters with a nice double leg into side control. Christ won't be happy with that. McQuire is looking to take a break and control but Christ is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Christ tries to escape but McQuire is in control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McQuire is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Christ knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Christ tries to escape but McQuire is in control. McQuire trying to control the action but Christ is working from the bottom. Christ taking punishment in the form of punches.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Christ is not content to let McQuire control the position. Christ is pushing McQuire's head away, looking to escape. McQuire manages to hold on to the position though. McQuire trying to control the action but Christ is working from the bottom. Christ pushes McQuire away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, McQuire gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control. McQuire looking for an arm triangle but it's way too loose to do anything. Christ seems a little lost for a moment, as McQuire dominates the positioning. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. McQuire throws a knee to the body but it doesn't do much damage. Christ is trying to get back to his feet.
The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. McQuire gets a takedown into half guard. McQuire trying to control from half guard but Christ is working away. McQuire tries to pass to full mount but Christ defends it. McQuire stops Christ from getting back to his feet.
Christ looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Cletus McQuire dominated that round. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! Christ looks to land a right hand but McQuire moved out of range. Cletus McQuire is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. McQuire misses with a takedown attempt and Christ connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
It looks like Cletus McQuire has been cut. A momentary lapse in concentration from Christ enables McQuire to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Christ manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. Christ is looking to stand up but McQuire isn't so interested in that idea. We're hearing some news coming in from back stage. It's official - McQuire has eaten all the pies! McQuire slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. McQuire trying to control the position but Christ is working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Christ is pushing McQuire's head away, looking to escape. McQuire manages to hold on to the position though. McQuire landing a few strikes. Christ is trying to escape and get back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. McQuire stands up and beckons Christ to his feet. McQuire gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there. Christ lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Christ digs a good body shot into McQuire's ribs. McQuire is breathing heavily. McQuire moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Christ is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Christ drops McQuire with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but McQuire looks back up at him and smiles so Christ waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
McQuire is rocked!
That has opened up Cletus McQuire's cut even more. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Christ measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes McQuire! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Joel Christ!
