The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Beckley gets caught napping as Mikhailov dives in and scores a takedown. Beckley manages to retain guard.
Mikhailov connects with a couple of short punches.
Beckley working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Mikhailov.
Beckley is looking to stand up but Mikhailov isn't so interested in that idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Mikhailov with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
Mikhailov throws an elbow that misses. Beckley uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Mikhailov's guard. Nice move by Beckley!

Mikhailov has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Mikhailov is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Beckley has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Mikhailov is proving hard to escape from.
Beckley prevents Mikhailov from getting back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Mikhailov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Beckley is looking to escape.

Mikhailov lands strikes from half guard.
Beckley pushes Mikhailov off looking to stand but Mikhailov dives back in and keeps control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Beckley won't allow Mikhailov to pass to mount.
Beckley is trying to stand back up but Mikhailov is controlling him
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Mikhailov connects with a nice short shot to Beckley's temple.

Mikhailov throwing shots but Beckley is blocking nicely.
Beckley is trying to stand up here but Mikhailov is controlling him well.
Mikhailov trying to mount his opponent but Beckley defends it.
Mikhailov scores with a big shot! Beckley's head bounced off the canvas with a huge thud! More strikes land and the referee has jumped in to save Beckley! He was hurt real bad - good stoppage!
