Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carson Justice!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kikiro Hamayashi!
The judges for this bout are Steve Smith, William Peck and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Justice blocks a head kick by Hamayashi.
Justice drives through and clinches with Hamayashi against the cage.
Hamayashi is trying to break the clinch but Justice is controlling him.
Justice pulls Hamayashi into guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Justice is on top in guard.
Justice pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hamayashi is keeping the position for now.
Justice drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Hamayashi manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Justice has Hamayashi in his guard.
Justice is adopting a defensive guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hamayashi is sitting in close to Justice's body. Justice has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Hamayashi is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Hamayashi is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Justice.
