Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Evan Green (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Max Steel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Green's entrance music is Six. A fine choice. Evan Green has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Evan Green! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Max Steel! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Trevor Gratis and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Steel fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Green checks it well. Steel lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Green circles away quickly and effectively. Steel misses with a two punch combination.
Green closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Green ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Green no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Steel trying to control but Green is working from the bottom. Green throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Steel stopping the sweep attempt from Green. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Green is on top in guard.
Steel trying to punch from his back but it's not doing any damage. Green is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Green's corner is telling him to maintain position. Green trying to control the position from guard on top but Steel is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Steel preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Green trying to control but Steel is working from the bottom. Green drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Green jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Green showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Steel.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Green tries to clinch up. Max Steel seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Green throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Steel's waist but Steel gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Green off to one side. Nice sprawl there from Steel as Green shoots in. Steel throws a series of punches but Green moves out of range. Steel looks to land a combination. Green sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
It looks like Evan Green has been cut. Green is breathing heavily. Green keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Steel. A combination from Steel does no damage. Green cracks the inside of Steel's front leg. Green fails with the takedown. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Evan Green. That's going to take a lot out of him.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Green on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere. Steel rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Green moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Green fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Steel sprawls well initially but Green persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Green throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Green missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Green moves into full mount! Steel won't be happy about that! Poor strikes thrown by Green there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!
Green with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Steel tries to hold on but Green pushes him away. Steel is looking to get to half guard. Green working for a submission but Steel is keeping him at bay. Green looking to finish with strikes here!
Steel can't escape the position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Evan Green dominated that round. The cut man is working on Evan Green's cut. That's time! Green's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.
Steel slips under a jab. Green dodges the punch combination from Steel.
Green closes the distance and clinches. Green successfully pulls guard.
Green has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Steel trying to control but Green is working from the bottom. Green escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Steel gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Green has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Steel can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Green is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Steel stopping the sweep attempt from Green. Steel stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Green swivels though and keeps the full guard. Green is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move. Green passes to side control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Green tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Green has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Green in side control, throwing shots but Steel defends. Green thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Green avoids the strikes from the bottom by Steel.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Steel struggling a bit here. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Green passes to full mount! That's big trouble for Steel! Steel is controlling an arm, preventing Green from taking his back. Although keeping him in mount is no better to be honest.
Green looking to finish with strikes here!
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Green tries to control but Steel wriggling away. Steel manages to regain half guard. Good work. Green seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Steel does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Steel really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Green. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Steel has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Green is working away from the top position though. Green moves into full mount! Steel won't be happy about that! Steel is trying to escape the mount.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Evan Green dominated that second round. The cut man is working on Evan Green's cut. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Green decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Green seems to be looking for submissions.
Green frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Green cracks Steel with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Green is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Green extends the arm and Steel is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:05 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Evan Green!
