Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Erasmo Bezerra (ranked 1292 p4p, 1626 weight class) and Juan Carlos (ranked 167 p4p, 206 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Erasmo Bezerra!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Juan Carlos!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, William Gold and James Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bezerra smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.
It looks like Juan Carlos has been cut.
Bezerra throws a jab but it's blocked by Carlos.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Carlos! But no joy.
Carlos on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Carlos pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Carlos throws a leg kick but Bezerra checks it.
Carlos throws a combination that misses
and Bezerra makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Bezerra misses with a takedown attempt - Carlos sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Carlos with the counter takedown but Bezerra avoids it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Bezerra ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Bezerra misses with a body shot.
As Bezerra backs off Carlos throws a huge counter combo but Bezerra manages to avoid it all.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Carlos lands with a slapping head kick.
Bezerra avoids the head kick by Carlos.
Bezerra needs to keep his hands up - Carlos had a free shot at his head there.
Carlos on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Bezerra waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Carlos.
Bezerra is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
Bezerra fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Carlos manages to avoid it.
Bezerra throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Carlos on the side of the head.
Carlos throws a right hand that misses
and Bezerra counters with a big right hand! Oh Carlos is in trouble here! Bezerra follows up with more strikes and that's it! The ref has stopped it!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Erasmo Bezerra!
