Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Shane Lancaster (ranked 819 p4p, 1397 weight class) and Elinho Mineiro (ranked 130 p4p, 209 weight class). Lancaster comes to the cage accompanied by Slipknot - I Am Hated. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Elinho Mineiro!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Vladimir Khabensky and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mineiro tries to clinch up but Lancaster circles away and keeps his distance.
Lancaster has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Gunner's School of Combat in the buildup to the fight.

Mineiro is looking for a kimura but Lancaster is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Mineiro to get the leverage.

Mineiro tries to advance to mount but can't.
Mineiro trying to control the action but Lancaster is working from the bottom.
Lancaster is holding Mineiro down, trying to stall.
Mineiro wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Lancaster, who protects the arm well.

Mineiro swings around for an armbar but it's a sloppy attempt and Lancaster is now in Mineiro's guard. A big mistake from Mineiro there, giving up the dominant position!

Mineiro has his foot on Lancaster's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Lancaster works his way back into a safe position though.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Mineiro is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Lancaster got a little sloppy there for a moment and Mineiro has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Lancaster has managed to get both his arms back between Mineiro's legs - danger averted.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Mineiro tries to clinch up.
Lancaster swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Mineiro tries to close the distance and clinch but Lancaster swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lancaster scores with a jab to the head.
It looks like Elinho Mineiro has been cut.
Lancaster throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Mineiro wants to counter with a clinch but Lancaster pushes him away.
Lancaster closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Mineiro to the mat! Mineiro manages to get full guard.
Lancaster with a nice head shot there.
Mineiro is actively looking for submissions from his back. He's worked himself a little space on the bottom and seems to be going for a triangle. No, he's switched into an armbar! That was slick! Lancaster rolls with it to try and escape but Mineiro cranks on the arm and Lancaster is forced to tap out! This one is aaaaaaaaall over!
