Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jim Babcock (ranked 5381 p4p, 5452 weight class) and Homer Greatrix (ranked 554 p4p, 559 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Homer Greatrix!
The judges for this bout are Igor Prikhodko, Dmitry Maklakov and Konstantin Menshow.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Babcock looks to land a combination but Greatrix avoids it well.
Greatrix throws a leg kick but Babcock sees it coming and checks it nicely.

Babcock sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!

Greatrix really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Babcock. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Babcock drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Greatrix manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Babcock has Greatrix in his guard.


Babcock escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Greatrix gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Homer Greatrix showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!

Babcock cracks Greatrix with a big elbow. Oh, he's hurt! Babcock immediately mounts and start dropping bombs! Greatrix is done! The referee jumps in and saves him from any more punishment - a quick and decisive finish by Babcock!
