Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Torhte Finlayson (ranked 10 p4p, 677 weight class) and Hayato Sakuraba (ranked 3 p4p, 98 weight class). Finlayson comes to the cage accompanied by Scotland the Brave, Black Bear. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 30 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Torhte Finlayson!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of London, Hayato Sakuraba!
The judges for this bout are James Glass, Steven Brown and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finlayson cracks a nice hook into Sakuraba's ribs.
Finlayson lands with a straight right. Sakuraba didn't see that one coming.
Finlayson throws a jab but it's blocked by Sakuraba.
Finlayson throws a good cross that connects.

Finlayson lands a big right hand that sends Sakuraba crashing to the mat! Finlayson stays standing though and waves Sakuraba back to his feet!

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Finlayson throws a hook to the side of Sakuraba's head but Sakuraba sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Sakuraba accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Sakuraba felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Sakuraba is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Sakuraba leaves his chin hanging out and Finlayson seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Sakuraba crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
