Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Noel Diaz (ranked 33 p4p, 111 weight class) and Odd Job (ranked 5 p4p, 19 weight class). Diaz comes to the cage accompanied by The Stockton Slap Song. Noel Diaz had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 16 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Odd Job!
The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Sam Margolis and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Job closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Diaz quickly recovers to half guard.
Diaz wants to control but Job is keeping busy and won't allow it.
Diaz is pressing down on Job's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

Job throws a strike but Diaz rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Diaz is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Job throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Diaz was covering up waiting for the punch and Job finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Job throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Diaz's waist but Diaz gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Job off to one side.

Job closes the distance and clinches up with Diaz, looking for a takedown. Job pushes Diaz against the cage but Diaz circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Odd Job showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Job manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Diaz on his heels. He'll look to pass Diaz's guard now, I'm sure.

Diaz drops Job with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Job looks back up at him and smiles so Diaz waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Job throws a lazy uppercut
and Diaz rattles Job with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Job tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Diaz dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Job stiff and motionless on the mat!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:55 of round 4, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Noel Diaz!
