Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ted Meredith (ranked 2959 p4p, 289 weight class) and Little Late (ranked 365 p4p, 50 weight class). Meredith comes to the cage accompanied by Skinny Boys - Skinny (They Can't Get Enough). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 11 - 0, fighting out of London, Ted Meredith!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Little Late!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, James Atkins and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Meredith throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Meredith scores with a sloppy right hand. Late should have avoided that one.
Late throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Meredith counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Late thinking.
Late throws a series of punches but Meredith moves out of range.
Late walks into a jab.
Late misses with a jab, cross combination.
Late fails with an attempt to clinch.
Meredith misses with a body shot.
Meredith pushes Late up against the cage in a clinch.
Meredith manages to break the clinch.
Late keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Late moves out of range as Meredith strikes.
Late lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.
Late is looking to stand up but Meredith isn't so interested in that idea.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Horrible takedown attempt by Late or perhaps it was just good defense by Meredith, which made it look bad.
Late throws a body punch but Meredith moves out of range.

and Meredith counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Meredith.

Meredith is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Late prevents a body shot from Meredith.
The referee is keeping an eye on Meredith - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Late wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee.
Meredith gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
It looks like Little Late has been cut.

Meredith escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Meredith cracks Late with a good jab.

Late misses with a takedown attempt - Meredith sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Ted Meredith has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Little Late.
Late throws a series of punches but Meredith avoids them all with ease.

A looping hook to the body misses from Late. Meredith does a little dance to reset his feet.
Meredith feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Lates jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!

Meredith misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Late is trying to break the clinch but Meredith has him pressed against the cage.
Meredith lands with a left to the head.

A nice glancing elbow lands by Meredith.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Late is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Meredith is keeping busy.
Meredith connects with a knee to the head.

Meredith's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Meredith escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Late throws a right hand that misses
and Meredith counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Meredith misses with a wild combination.
Late throws a big shot that misses.
Meredith throws a hook to the side of Late's head but Late sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Meredith lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Late misses with a wild combination.
Late drops Meredith with a beautiful combination! Meredith stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Late is looking for the KO!
Meredith is rocked!
It looks like Ted Meredith has been cut.
Meredith walks straight into a right hand from Late - that's dropped him! Late jumps into mount and starts pounding away - can he finish?! More strikes go undefended and the referee has to dive in to save Meredith from any more punishment! Meredith complains about the stoppage but falls over as he tries to stand back up, so it was clearly a good stoppage.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Little Late!
Little Late very nearly forgot to thank Voodoo Nutrition amongst all the excitement of his win but just as the interview came to a close, he screamed their name. Hopefully he'll get a few nice freebies in the mail as a thank you.
