Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Li Bai (ranked 2175 p4p, 3232 weight class) and Wade Wilson (ranked 287 p4p, 390 weight class). Bai comes to the cage accompanied by Kung Fu Fighting. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Li Bai! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Wade Wilson! The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Colin Fotheringham.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wilson tries to clinch but fails miserably and Bai counters with a nice body kick. Bai connects with a looping right hand.
Bai on the wrong end of a nice hook. Wilson throws a jab but it's blocked by Bai. Wilson fails with the takedown and Bai counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
It looks like Wade Wilson has been cut. Wilson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Bai moves out of range as Wilson strikes. Wilson misses with a wild body shot. Wilson with a lazy takedown attempt and Bai counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. Bai moves away from the strike by Wilson. Bai was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. Wilson with a poor takedown and Bai counters with a lovely shot to the body. Li Bai has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Wade Wilson. The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Bai misses with a looping right. Bai misses with a wild body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bai lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!

and Bai connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Bai ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Wilson moves away. Wilson takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.

Wilson goes for a double leg but Bai avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Bai continues to drive forward. Wilson jabbing away but nothing is landing. Bai appears to be looking for a big counter. Bai throws a big shot that misses. Wilson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bai. Bai misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Wilson.

Wilson drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles. Wilson blocks a jab. We've been told by Bai's head coaches at Brotherhood MMA that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Wilson misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Bai.
A nice leg kick lands there from Bai. Bai moves forwards but Wilson connects with a nice, crisp jab. Wilson waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Bai. A counter left hand to the body from Bai misses its target. Wilson fails with the takedown and Bai counters with a right hand to the body. Wilson takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Wilson's coach down at Roosters Coop was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Wilson's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Bai throws a leg kick and Wilson counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wilson trying to control but Bai is working from the bottom. Wilson in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Wilson with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal. Wilson wants to control from the top but Bai keeps moving. Bai avoiding any damage from the ground and pound. That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Wilson looking to sit in guard and control but Bai gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Wilson is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Wilson looking to hit a scissor sweep but Bai is one step ahead there. Wilson controls Bai momentarily but Bai frees himself. Wilson is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Li Bai dominated that round. The cut man is working on Wade Wilson's cut. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Wilson thows a left - swing and a miss! As Wilson looks to move away, Bai throws a big counter combo but Wilson just gets out of the way. Wilson bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Wilson postures up a little and throws a couple of hammerfists but they don't connect properly.
Bai is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Wilson can do to turn this around? The ground and pound from Wilson seems to be hitting the mat more than his opponent. Wilson tries for a kimura but Bai is defending well. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Wilson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bai, who protects the arm well. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wilson working the ground and pound but Bai is defending the strikes.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wilson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bai knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. Wilson has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Wilson wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Bai, who protects the arm well. Bai knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wilson on the ground. Wilson creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Bai sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike. Wilson misses with the ground and pound. Bai tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Wilson easily slips into full mount! Bai is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Wilson locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Bai is forced to tap!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Wade Wilson! After the fight, Wade Wilson was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly. Li Bai spoke after the fight, saying 'So saying, I was drunk all the day, Lying helpless at the porch in front of my door.'.
