Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Balin Trollslayer (ranked 141 p4p, 1105 weight class) and Maro Pjetlic (ranked 24 p4p, 159 weight class). Pjetlic has chosen Legend as his entrance music. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Maro Pjetlic was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 23 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Balin Trollslayer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 18 - 9 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Maro Pjetlic! The judges for this bout are James Atkins, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Trollslayer steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Pjetlic. Trollslayer seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance. Pjetlic pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Trollslayer half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. A looping hook to the body misses from Pjetlic. Trollslayer does a little dance to reset his feet. Trollslayer changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Pjetlic takes a swing at Trollslayer's ribcage but misses. Trollslayer drops down looking for a counter takedown but Pjetlic sprawls and moves away. Trollslayer looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. Pjetlic throws a lazy uppercut
and Trollslayer decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Pjetlic's guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Trollslayer is looking to work some ground and pound but Pjetlic has wrist control. Pjetlic preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage. Trollslayer with a flurry of punches that miss. Trollslayer is working the ground and pound from guard. He might want to try advancing position though to get more of an impact.
That's one minute gone in the round. Trollslayer loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Trollslayer working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Trollslayer throws a big elbow that misses. Trollslayer is in close to Pjetlic's body, working some short punches and elbows. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Trollslayer loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry. Trollslayer might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Trollslayer chips away with some ground and pound. Trollslayer throws a big elbow that misses. Pjetlic utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound. Trollslayer throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Pjetlic works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Trollslayer passes into half guard. Trollslayer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pjetlic with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position. Trollslayer thows a huge punch but Pjetlic dodges it nicely.
Pjetlic on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Trollslayer looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Pjetlic with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Trollslayer thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas. Trollslayer missing with the ground and pound from half guard. Pjetlic keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Trollslayer connects with a nice short shot to Pjetlic's temple. Trollslayer not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Trollslayer throwing shots but Pjetlic is blocking nicely. Trollslayer not landing any meaningful shots this time. Pjetlic really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Trollslayer. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Trollslayer looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Pjetlic keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Ground and pound from Trollslayer. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Pjetlic can do anything to dispel that myth. Trollslayer slips a nice elbow through Pjetlic's hands, connecting with Pjetlic's forehead. Trollslayer lands a massive shot from half guard that has rocked Pjetlic! More strikes land and this one is all over! Trollslayer jumps to his feet and is applauded loudly by the crowd!
