The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McGavin tries to clinch but Tarver moves out of range.
Tarver wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
McGavin sizes up Tarver with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle.

Tarver clinches with his opponent.
Tarver is defending well against a takedown attempt.

Tarver successfully pulls guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

McGavin drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and McGavin jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

McGavin is sitting in close to Tarver's body. Tarver has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! McGavin is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, McGavin is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Tarver.
