Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Giggle Valentine!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Joao Cardoso!
The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Daniel Blasius and Paul Aken.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cardoso throws a leg kick
and Valentine cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Cardoso takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Cardoso misses with a jab, cross combination.
Valentine swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Cardoso misses with a takedown
and Valentine makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cardoso tries to clinch up
and Valentine counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Cardoso is rocked!
That's one minute gone in the round.
Cardoso misses with a lunging right hand
and Valentine counters with a nice right hand that sends Cardoso toppling to the canvas! Cardoso scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Valentine finish him?!
Cardoso is still on wobbly legs! Can Valentine finish him?
Cardoso tries to clinch but fails miserably
and Valentine counters with a crisp right that sends Cardoso to the canvas! Valentine follows up with punches from the mount and this one is all over!
