Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Eddie Ryan (ranked 2169 p4p, 3789 weight class) and Masada The Zealot (ranked 258 p4p, 415 weight class). Masada The Zealot is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Eddie Ryan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 39 - 40 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Masada The Zealot! The judges for this bout are Saam Ante, Radbod Blank and Daniel Blasius.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ryan lands a jab to The Zealot's midsection. The Zealot throws a leg kick and The Zealot takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Ryan uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before The Zealot has time to react. The Zealot misses with an uppercut
and Ryan counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps The Zealot thinking. Ryan bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. The Zealot is looking to get back to his feet here but Ryan is keeping cool and he's managed to take The Zealot's back. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Ryan biding his time, controlling The Zealot. The Zealot covering up well under a series of strikes from Ryan.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ryan looking for the choke but no joy. You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
The Zealot is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. Ryan throwing sloppy strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Ryan controls the action. Ryan looking for the choke but no joy. The Zealot is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Ryan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ryan looking for the RNC. Ryan is working for a rear naked choke. The Zealot is not defending it well and Ryan has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! The Zealot refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of The Zealot's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:40 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Eddie Ryan! Eddie Ryan seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
