The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rua misses the shot to the body.
Jones tries to clinch but Rua is having none of it.
Rua swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Jones doesn't manage to clinch there - Rua circles away.

Jones drives through and clinches with Rua against the ropes.

Rua's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Rua connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Jones avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Jones tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Rua throws the left hand but Jones avoids the punch easily.
Jones lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Jones is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rua appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body.
Rua stuns Jones with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
