Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between John Archibald Wheeler (ranked 879 p4p, 4269 weight class) and Moxley O Darren (ranked 130 p4p, 497 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, John Archibald Wheeler! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Moxley O Darren! The judges for this bout are Bart Greer, Peter Branson and Michael Johnstone.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! O Darren looks to clinch and Wheeler counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. A jab lands there for Wheeler. O Darren closes the distance but Wheeler moves to the side and Wheeler makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range. We've been told by Wheeler's head coaches at Monkey Business that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. Wheeler thuds his shin into the meat of O Darren's side. Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world. O Darren has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Wheeler. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. O Darren shoots in for a takedown but Wheeler shows good takedown defense. O Darren shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Wheeler pinned against the cage. Wheeler gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Wheeler jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
That's one minute gone in the round. O Darren drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. The strikes coming from O Darren are missing the target in this wave of attacks. Wheeler avoids any damage from the ground and pound of O Darren. O Darren is looking to take a break and control but Wheeler is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Wheeler on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Wheeler tries to get out of the position. An elbow from O Darren crashes against the mat.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Wheeler is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on O Darren's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. O Darren missing with the ground and pound from half guard. O Darren lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. O Darren sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Wheeler defending well though. O Darren trying to control the pace. Wheeler is not content to let O Darren control the position. That's three minutes gone in the round. Wheeler blocking the ground and pound attempt from O Darren. O Darren is keen to just control but Wheeler is a slippery customer. O Darren not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. O Darren seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. O Darren sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Wheeler defending well though. O Darren controlling the action here. Nice strikes from O Darren there.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. O Darren works his way into side control. O Darren is working Wheeler over with some ground and pound from side control. O Darren trying to control the position but Wheeler is working away. O Darren working the ground and pound. The strikes coming from O Darren are missing the target in this wave of attacks. O Darren trying to control the position but Wheeler is working away. O Darren has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. O Darren is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. O Darren connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Wheeler some visible discomfort.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Moxley O Darren dominated that round. That's time! Wheeler's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. Good exchange - Wheeler coming out on top. Wheeler lands a nice looking body kick. O Darren will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. O Darren throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Wheeler's waist but Wheeler gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing O Darren off to one side. O Darren takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Wheeler lands a big uppercut and O Darren crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but O Darren looks OK. Wheeler waves O Darren back to his feet!
O Darren is rocked!
It looks like Moxley O Darren has been cut. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! O Darren takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Wheeler connects with a nice cross there... O Darren is looking wobbly and Wheeler recognises it - he's rushed in and lands two more brutal shots that send O Darren to the canvas, out cold! A brutal finish to the fight - Wheeler jumps onto the cage to celebrate with the crowd!
