Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Karockas Thibodeaux (ranked 213 p4p, 406 weight class) and Vladimir Plusnin (ranked 34 p4p, 64 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The judges for this bout are Dirk Anderson, Santiago Holmes and David Hoff.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thibodeaux swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Thibodeaux closes the distance and pushes Plusnin back into the cage.

Plusnin tries to pull guard but Thibodeaux forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Thibodeaux lands with a light punch inside.
Thibodeaux lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Plusnin backwards.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Plusnin blocks a body shot from Thibodeaux.
Plusnin stalling in the clinch but Thibodeaux improves position.

Plusnin tries to pull guard but Thibodeaux won't allow it.

Thibodeaux drops Plusnin with a big knee straight up the middle! Plusnin is covering up against the cage but manages to escape and gets back to his feet!
It looks like Vladimir Plusnin has been cut.
Karockas Thibodeaux seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thibodeaux lands a big right hand that sends Plusnin crashing to the mat! Thibodeaux stays standing though and waves Plusnin back to his feet!
Plusnin is rocked!

Thibodeaux rushes Plusnin and presses him up against the cage.
Plusnin is still on wobbly legs! Can Thibodeaux finish him?
Thibodeaux creates a bit of space for himself and rocks Plusnin with a big uppercut! Plusnin tries to clinch up but Thibodeaux pushes him back against the cage and lands another monster strike that crumples Plusnin to the mat! Plusnin covers up and Thibodeaux unloads with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

Karockas Thibodeaux was full of energy after the big win and talked about how he thinks he can do big things in this sport. The crowd were appreciative of his determination to succeed.
