Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Michael Collins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Grigori Golov!
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Robert Twigg and Tiny Johnson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Golov just misses with a punch to the body.
Collins tries to counter with a takedown but Golov is quick to defend against it.
We've been hearing reports that Collins has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Golov manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Collins on his heels. He'll look to pass Collins's guard now, I'm sure.
Golov looking to sit in guard and control but Collins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Golov controls Collins momentarily but Collins frees himself.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Collins is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Golov can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.
We've been informed that Golov has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
