This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the light heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 44 wins and 36 losses; Mike Schultz! And in the blue corner, fighting out of New York, with a TWGC record of 8 wins and 4 losses; Denubis Majere!
The judges for this bout are Thiago Cunha, Matheus Silva and Paulo Santos.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.
Schultz changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Majere tries to avoid it but Schultz manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Majere to the ground. Majere escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Schultz shoots in for a takedown but Majere shows good takedown defense.
Schultz has been working on his balance at Average Judas Gym, so perhaps that has help him stuff some of the takedown attempts by Majere.

Majere closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Majere lands in his opponent's guard.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Majere stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Schultz swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Majere is posturing up here but Schultz has hold of an arm and he's gone for an armbar! Majere tries to roll out but it's too tight and Majere has to tap! Slick submission there by Schultz!
