And in the blue corner, fighting out of Amsterdam, with a TWGC record of 13 wins and 15 losses; Don Lemieux! The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Richard Clark and Colin Fotheringham.
The fighters connect hands in the middle of the mat and we are under way. Jiurgite fails with a takedown attempt from distance. Lemieux keeps the fight on the outside. Jiurgite shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Lemieux pinned against the cage. Lemieux gets the underhooks and manages to circle away. Jiurgite tries to clinch up. Lemieux's coach down at Clark's Champion's was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Lemieux's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight. Jiurgite tries to score a power double leg takedown but Lemieux sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Jiurgite somewhat. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ze Jiurgite. That's going to take a lot out of him. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Lemieux looking to score a takedown here. Jiurgite is defending well but Lemieux drives through and ends up in Jiurgite's guard. Jiurgite has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Jiurgite can't do much from the bottom at the moment, as Lemieux controls the pace. Lemieux wants to pass the guard but Jiurgite is keeping the position. Lemieux won't allow Jiurgite to sweep him here. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Lemieux trying to control but Jiurgite is working from the bottom. Jiurgite is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Jiurgite can't keep his opponent in guard - Lemieux advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Lemieux wants to control but Jiurgite is keeping him busy. Jiurgite makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Jiurgite.

Jiurgite's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Lemieux is holding on here and Jiurgite must be using up a lot of energy. Lemieux has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Jiurgite gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
