Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Silver Bullion (ranked 23149 p4p, 4969 weight class) and Test Five (ranked 205 p4p, 165 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 13 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Silver Bullion!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 22 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Test Five!
The judges for this bout are Nard Betker, Aafke Stam and Wagner Zegers.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Bullion forces Five back against the cage and clinches.
Five tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Bullion goes for a takedown in the clinch but Five prevents it.
I was talking to Bullion's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Bullion pulls guard.
Bullion wants to hit a sweep here but Five passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Bullion there!
Five tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Bullion is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Bullion on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bullion tries to get out of the position.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Bullion tries to hold on but Five postures up.
Bullion trying desperately to get to his feet.
Five controlling his opponent.

Five is continuing to stall.
Five avoids the attempt from Bullion to control.
Five takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
The adventures of Five the control monster continue. Boring.
Bullion sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Bullion is looking to get back to is feet but Five passes into side control.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.


Bullion gets in close and instigates a clinch.

Bullion pulls guard.
Five controlling from the top position.

Five decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Bullion, up you get!
Bullion tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Five manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Bullion tries to clinch there but Five circles away.
Five wants to counter the offense by Bullion and move into the clinch position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Five keeps the fight on the outside.
Bullion is looking to clinch but Five is avoiding it.
Five with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Bullion shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

Bullion clinches up with Five and pushes him back against the cage.

Five tries a body shot but Bullion blocks it.
Five doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Five goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

The step up in weight doesn't seem to be a problem for Five. He's performing admirably here against the bigger man.
Bullion scores with a hook to the body.
Five can't find room to land a body shot as Bullion controls the action.
Five tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Bullion's elbow.

Bullion wants to take the fight to the mat but Five manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Five is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

Bullion wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Five manages to pass to side control.
Five sitting and controlling from the half guard.
Five has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Five works his way into side control.

Five has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Bullion!

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Let's hope that Five has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Test Five showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Bullion misses with a takedown attempt - Five sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Bullion avoids the body shot from Five.

Bullion has managed to clinch.
Five misses with the head strike.
Bullion is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Five gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Five pushing down on Bullion's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bullion is trying to escape back to his feet but Five uses the scramble to pass into side control.
Five is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Bullion is trying to work for a sweep but Five has mounted him!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Five tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Bullion tries to hold on but Five pushes him away.
Five takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Silver Bullion has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Test Five is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Bullion keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Test Five comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Five winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
