Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ali Aki (ranked 4610 p4p, 4616 weight class) and Vinny Coach (ranked 0 p4p, 514 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Ali Aki!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Vinny Coach!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, James Atkins and Andrew Berry.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Coach has a couple of punches blocked by Aki.
Aki jumps guard but Coach stands there with Aki around his waist. Aki gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Coach is trying to break free.
Aki tries to pull guard but Coach forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Aki is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Coach is defending well.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ali Aki. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Coach has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Coach lands an uppercut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A right handed body shot lands from Coach.

Aki breaks from the clinch.
Coach connects with a nice looking jab.
Aki closes the distance and clinches up with Coach, looking for a takedown. Aki pushes Coach against the cage but Coach circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Vinny Coach seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Coach ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Coach throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Aki.

Coach has closed the distance and engaged Aki in a clinch.
Coach wants to break free but Aki has control.
Coach is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Aki pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Aki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Aki wants to take the fight to the mat but Coach manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.

Coach misses with the head strike.
Coach lands with a light punch inside.
Coach misses with a hook from the clinch.

Coach lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Aki jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Coach walks away with a smile on his face. Aki gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Coach fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Aki looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Aki gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Nice uppercut lands for Coach. That snapped Aki's head back.
Coach lands with an uppercut that bounces Aki off the cage and back into range.
Aki drops his hands and takes a jab to the jaw for his troubles.
Coach wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Coach darts in and out, connecting with a jab.

Aki tries to clinch there but Coach circles away.
Coach bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Coach tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Coach with a hook.
Coach lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Aki takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Coach lands a jab to Aki's midsection.
Coach stuffs the takedown.
Coach circles away from the clinch attempt.
Aki wants to clinch.
Coach connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Aki doesn't manage to clinch there - Coach circles away.
Coach lands a body shot.

Coach changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Aki on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Good shot there by Coach.
Coach throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Aki stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
A jab lands there for Coach.
Aki throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Coach's waist but Coach gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Aki off to one side.

Aki tries to keep at a distance but Coach has taken the fight into the clinch.

Aki breaks from the clinch.
Aki goes for a double leg but Coach avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Coach continues to drive forward.
Aki is breathing heavily.
Aki's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Aki tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Aki is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath.
Aki is looking to take this one to the mat.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Vinny Coach dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Aki takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Aki tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Coach defends well and Aki ends up having to push Coach into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Vinny Coach seems to be working more effectively in the clinch in the fight so far.
Coach lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Aki backwards.
Aki keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Coach's efforts to push away.
A right hook to the body lands for Coach.
Coach tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Aki's elbow.
Coach is trying to break the clinch but Aki is controlling him.

Vinny Coach seems to be getting the better of the standup.

Aki gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Coach pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Aki back to the cage. Coach follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Aki shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Coach pinned against the cage. Coach gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Aki is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Coach scores with a shot to the body.
Coach throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

Aki takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Aki is trying to pull guard but Coach turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Aki pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Coach scores with a hook to the body. Aki takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Coach has used his reach advantage pretty well so far tonight.

As Coach looks to move away, Aki throws a big counter combo but Coach just gets out of the way.

Aki is looking to counter the offense by Coach and move into the clinch.

Aki is looking to control Coach's arms but Coach gets an underhook and turns him. Now Aki has his back to the cage.

Aki pulls Coach in close to his closed guard and prevents Coach from doing any damage or advancing position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Aki wants to stand and escape but Coach is having none of it.

Coach gets to his feet - Aki follows without any prompting.
Coach cracks a nice hook into Aki's ribs.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Coach lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Aki circles away quickly and effectively.
Coach digs a good body shot into Aki's ribs.
Coach throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
As Coach tries to get set, Aki tries to push him back and clinch up but Coach manages to avoid the attempt.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Vinny Coach showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

Coach swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Aki.

and Coach connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Coach lands with a good body shot.
Coach has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Coach cracks Aki with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.

Aki looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.
Coach clobbers Aki with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.

Coach ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Coach no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Aki seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Aki stops Coach from standing up.

Coach pushes Aki off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.

Aki goes for a takedown attempt but Coach pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Aki takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.

Vinny Coach is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
A nice left hand lands by Coach.

Vinny Coach comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Coach has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
