Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Eduardo Motta (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Neto Gattario (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Motta comes to the cage accompanied by . Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eduardo Motta!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Neto Gattario!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Cesar, Alexandre Firmino and Edson Gomes.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gattario closes the distance and pushes Motta back into the cage.
Gattario looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Gattario cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Gattario really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Motta. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Gattario can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Motta is looking to escape.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Motta sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Gattario tries to stand but his arm is trapped.

Gattario is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Motta defends it well.

Gattario feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Gattario connects with a nice short shot to Motta's temple.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Motta working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Gattario doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Gattario manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Motta has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Gattario is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Motta.

Motta isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Gattario stacks Motta on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Gattario!

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Eduardo Motta.
I think Motta has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
