Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Macker Chansen (ranked 4652 p4p, 4651 weight class) and Hakal Wasli (ranked 547 p4p, 546 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Macker Chansen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hakal Wasli!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Albert Achterberg and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Chansen scores a trip takedown into side control. Nice.

Wasli bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Chansen is defended easily by Wasli.
Chansen shoots in but Wasli avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Wasli shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Chansen counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Wasli is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Chansen's half guard.

Chansen pushes Wasli off and gets back to his feet.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Wasli closes the distance and clinches.
Wasli tries for a takedown. No joy.
Chansen is struggling to control the position.

Wasli is trying to pull guard but Chansen has him pressed against the cage.
Macker Chansen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hakal Wasli.

Wasli breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Wasli keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Wasli gets a clinch.
Chansen is trying to break the clinch but Wasli is controlling him.
Chansen tries to circle away but Wasli has him pinned against the cage.

Wasli jumps guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Wasli can do anything to dispel that myth.
Wasli pulls Chansen in close to prevent any damage.

Chansen drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Wasli dives on top into guard.


That's two minutes gone in the round.
Wasli showing good wrestling skills to control the position.

Chansen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Wasli doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Wasli manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Wasli with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.

Wasli gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Chansen closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Wasli did well to prevent Chansen getting side control.

Wasli manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Chansen keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage.

Chansen breaks from the clinch.
Chansen throws a series of punches but Wasli moves out of range.
Wasli dives in for a single leg takedown but Chansen sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Chansen drops down looking for a counter takedown but Wasli sprawls and moves away.
Chansen lands a really nice looking cross but Wasli seems unphased.

Wasli shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wasli showed some decent athleticism there.
Chansen is looking to get back to is feet but Wasli passes into side control.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Wasli landing a few strikes.

Wasli has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
Wasli tries to clinch there but Chansen circles away.

Wasli shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Chansen is trying to defend but Wasli finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Chansen is refusing to be controlled, as Wasli sits in half guard.
Chansen tries to roll over but Wasli keeps him under control.
Wasli is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Hakal Wasli dominated that round.
That's time! Chansen's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Chansen closes the distance and clinches up with Wasli, looking for a takedown. Chansen pushes Wasli against the cage but Wasli circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Chansen blocks a head kick by Wasli.
As Wasli looks to move away, Chansen throws a big counter combo but Wasli just gets out of the way.
Chansen leaves Wasli with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Macker Chansen is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Chansen tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Wasli manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Wasli drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Chansen defends it well.
Chansen doesn't manage to clinch there - Wasli circles away.
Wasli has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Wasli shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Chansen is trying to escape back to his feet but Wasli uses the scramble to pass into side control.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Wasli scoring with punches and elbows.

Wasli is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Chansen looks calm but he's in trouble here. Wasli gets his leg over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Chansen is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Wasli lets go of the hold and Chansen can pop his arm back in it's socket.
