Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Oliverium Hebbnesium (ranked 4924 p4p, 4649 weight class) and Tommy McCork (ranked 490 p4p, 520 weight class). Hebbnesium comes into the arena with Sk8er Boi blaring out of the sound system. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Wagner Zegers, Aafke Stam and Paul Aken.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCork is trying hard to land a takedown here. Hebbnesium sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Hebbnesium throws a right hand that McCork ducks under and follows up with a left that McCork also avoids with ease.
Nice body kick there by Hebbnesium.
Oliverium Hebbnesium seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
A nice leg kick from Hebbnesium, right into the meat of the thigh.
McCork fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Hebbnesium manages to avoid it.
McCork avoids the head kick by Hebbnesium.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hebbnesium misses with a wild combination.
McCork drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Hebbnesium defends it well.

and McCork counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hebbnesium won't be happy with that.
Hebbnesium sneaks a leg under to get back to half guard.
McCork is nestled in close to Hebbnesium, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.
Hebbnesium has hold of McCork's hands but McCork slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
McCork is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.

Hebbnesium manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Hebbnesium thows a body kick. McCork tries to catch it but that hurt him.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A head kick misses from Hebbnesium.
McCork appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Hebbnesium tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and McCork counters with a stiff right hand.

Hebbnesium tries to close the distance and clinch up but McCork swats him away and circles back towards the center.
McCork now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
McCork steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from Hebbnesium. That one must have hurt.
Hebbnesium throws a head kick but McCork moves out of range.
McCork is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Hebbnesium tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. McCork manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
McCork is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Hebbnesium wants to clinch but McCork slips to the side

so McCork counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.

Hebbnesium has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. McCork is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Hebbnesium jumps into guard, dragging McCork to the mat.
McCork's corner is telling him to maintain position.
McCork landing some decent shots from guard.
McCork throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Hebbnesium works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
McCork lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard.
McCork with a couple of shots to the head there. Not particularly brutal.
McCork stands up over Hebbnesium, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

McCork postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
McCork looking to sit in guard and control but Hebbnesium gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

McCork wants to stand and escape but Hebbnesium is having none of it.

McCork kicks Hebbnesium off and gets to his feet.
Hebbnesium tries to clinch up
and McCork makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.

and McCork counters with a takedown into side control.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
McCork lands a nice forearm strike.
McCork landing strikes.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McCork scoring with punches and elbows.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Oliverium Hebbnesium will probably get the nod.
That's time! Hebbnesium's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

and McCork counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Hebbnesium thinking.

McCork shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. McCork showed some decent athleticism there.

Hebbnesium kicks McCork off and gets back to his feet.
Hebbnesium is looking to clinch but McCork is avoiding it.
McCork avoids a kick to the body.
McCork avoids the head kick by Hebbnesium.
A jab from McCork does it's job there.
Hebbnesium closes the distance looking to clinch

and McCork counters with a nice double leg into side control. Hebbnesium won't be happy with that.

Hebbnesium takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.
McCork lands a nice forearm strike.
McCork blocks the strikes from Hebbnesium.
McCork looks up at the clock and then as Hebbnesium takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, McCork smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!
Hebbnesium is letting McCork control him for a moment.
Hebbnesium takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
McCork connects with a decent looking elbow from side control that caused Hebbnesium some visible discomfort.

Hebbnesium is rocked!
McCork is working Hebbnesium over with some ground and pound from side control.
Oh Hebbnesium is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!

McCork working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
A big shot lands for McCork! That's hurt Hebbnesium! Will he recover? McCork fires away with more strikes and the referee has to step in to stop the fight!
