Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Davey Hilton Jr (ranked 2054 p4p, 2485 weight class) and Kenton Tracks (ranked 124 p4p, 145 weight class). The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 2 - 1, fighting out of The Island, Davey Hilton Jr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Kenton Tracks! The judges for this bout are David Hoff, Michael Johnstone and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Tracks fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Kenton Tracks seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hilton Jr slips a jab and a cross from Tracks.
Hilton Jr appears to be looking for a counter takedown. Hilton Jr ducks under a wild hook from Tracks. Hilton Jr half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range. Tracks moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Tracks throws a front kick aimed at Hilton Jr's knee but Hilton Jr avoids it well. Hilton Jr looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. A low kick from Tracks misses and Hilton Jr counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground. Hilton Jr thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Hilton Jr working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage. We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tracks can do anything to dispel that myth.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tracks is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hilton Jr is aware though and is defending well. Tracks really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Hilton Jr. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Tracks looking for a sweep. Not yet Tracks, not yet. Hilton Jr looking to pass the guard. Hilton Jr has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Hilton Jr is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Tracks is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Tracks has escaped and now he's on top!

That's two minutes gone in the round. Tracks sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Hilton Jr's guard. Hilton Jr actively working from the bottom here. Hilton Jr looking for submissions off his back. Tracks stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Hilton Jr to get to his feet. Tracks fails to land with a series of punches.
Tracks moves into range and lands a nice leg kick. Kenton Tracks is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. This has been an exciting period of action! Tracks motions for Hilton Jr to come forward. Tracks throws a leg kick but it misses it's target. Hilton Jr tries to counter with a takedown but Tracks is quick to defend against it. A clash of legs there as Hilton Jr blocks the low kick. Hilton Jr feinted with a counter takedown.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Tracks walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Hilton Jr checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Tracks misses with a body shot.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Danga de danga de dang - Tracks scores with a four punch combination! Tracks throws a leg kick so Hilton Jr counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility. Tracks looking for a sweep. Not yet Tracks, not yet. Tracks has an active guard here but Hilton Jr has managed to pass into half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Tracks is looking for a sweep. Hilton Jr is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Hilton Jr is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tracks is just riding it out for now. Hilton Jr eventually gives up the hold. Tracks is refusing to be controlled, as Hilton Jr sits in half guard. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Kenton Tracks will probably get the nod. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! Tracks with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Tracks throws a nice outside leg kick. Hilton Jr checks a leg kick nicely. Hilton Jr drops down looking for a counter takedown but Tracks sprawls and moves away. Tracks lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Tracks pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Tracks wants to slow Hilton Jr down by chopping away at his legs. Tracks thows a leg kick but Hilton Jr checks it and Hilton Jr counters with a nice double leg into side control. Tracks won't be happy with that. Hilton Jr has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Tracks is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. Hilton Jr yanks on the arm and Tracks is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by Hilton Jr.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Davey Hilton Jr! Davey Hilton Jr decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
