The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice takedown defense from Azevedo Souza. No joy for Caruga on that attempt.
Azevedo Souza cracks Caruga with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Azevedo Souza slips under a jab from Caruga.
Caruga shoots in looking for a takedown. Azevedo Souza tries to sprawl out of it but Caruga keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Azevedo Souza manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Azevedo Souza now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Caruga drives through with a takedown into Azevedo Souza's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Caruga drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Azevedo Souza dives on top into guard.
I've been told that Azevedo Souza has been drilling his wrestling of late, which has already helped him take this fight to the mat. Let's see how much of an impact it has on the outcome of the ground game.

Azevedo Souza reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Azevedo Souza taps out! Nice BJJ there by Caruga!
