Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Brian Van Dam (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Paul Logan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Van Dam comes to the cage accompanied by C R E A M By The Wu-Tang Clan. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Brian Van Dam!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Paul Logan!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, John Mangel and Donatello Bradman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Van Dam swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Brian Van Dam seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Van Dam misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Van Dam stuffs the takedown attempt from Logan. Logan gets slowly back to his feet.
Horrible takedown by Logan or perhaps it was just good defense by Van Dam which made him look bad.
Van Dam throws a nice looking combination but Logan bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.

Logan shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Van Dam might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Van Dam steps into range and cracks Logan with a monster punch that buckles his knees! Logan flops backwards and Van Dam dives into his guard looking to finish!

Van Dam has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Van Dam slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Van Dam scores with a nice one two combo and darts back out of range to avoid anything coming in the opposite direction.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Van Dam is looking to take this fight into the clinch.

Van Dam tries to close the distance and clinch up but Logan swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Logan closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Logan lands in his opponent's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Van Dam shoots for a double leg takedown but Logan sprawls well. He's pushed Van Dam's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Logan is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Van Dam pulls him back up using the underhooks.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Van Dam is looking to control Logan's arms but Logan gets an underhook and turns him. Now Van Dam has his back to the cage.
Van Dam is trying to drag Logan to the mat but Logan just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.
Logan goes for a takedown attempt but Van Dam pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Van Dam closes the distance and clinches up with Logan, looking for a takedown. Van Dam pushes Logan against the cage but Logan circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Logan shoots in looking for a takedown. Van Dam tries to sprawl out of it but Logan keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Van Dam manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Van Dam does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Logan changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Van Dam tries to avoid it but Logan manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Van Dam to the ground. Van Dam escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Van Dam is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Logan can do to turn this around?
Logan uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Van Dam.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Nice straight punches there by Van Dam. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Van Dam.

I think Van Dam has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
