Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Genghis Kant (ranked 2349 p4p, 4936 weight class) and John Kleen (ranked 304 p4p, 534 weight class). Kant kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Sons of Plunder. On his way into the ring it seems that Genghis Kant has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Genghis Kant seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Genghis Kant! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, John Kleen! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Percy O'Donnell and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kant tries to keep at a distance but Kleen has taken the fight into the clinch. Kleen tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Kleen is working Kant over against the ropes. Kleen is leaning against Kant and scores with a nice uppercut to the body. Kleen ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kleen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Kant preventing the sweep. Kleen is looking for a triangle but Kant pushes his legs off easily.
Kant is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. Kleen looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kleen is trying to control the position but Kant postures up. Kleen looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Kleen is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kant stands and steps away. Kleen gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game. Kleen swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Kleen displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Kant. The fight moves into the clinch position. Kant gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Kleen.
Kleen is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Kant is defending well. Genghis Kant has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of John Kleen. Kant decides to pull guard. Kant tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kleen working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Kant's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kleen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kant swivels though and keeps the full guard. Kant tries to land a sweep but no joy. Kant will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Kleen throwing strikes but missing. Kleen throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Kant works some decent striking defense from the bottom. Kleen throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring. Kleen postures up in Kant's guard and throws a big left but Kant blocks it. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Kleen wants to control from the top but Kant keeps moving. Kant on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Kant tries to get out of the position. Kleen looking to sit in guard and control but Kant gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Kant trying to control but Kleen is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kleen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kant defends well. Kant is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound. Kleen throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Kant escapes and throws Kleen's legs to the side, diving into side control! Kant tries to move into full mount but can't pass Kleen's legs. Kant working away. Kleen manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Kant controlling the action here. Kleen tries to roll over but Kant keeps him under control.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Kant moves into full mount! Kleen won't be happy about that! Kant content just to control the position here. Kant has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Kant looking to control but Kleen is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Kleen is desperately trying to improve his position but Kant has a good base and remains in mount. Kleen is still trying to improve position. Kleen manages to regain half guard. Good work. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but John Kleen will probably get the nod. That's time! Back to the action! Kleen jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Kant keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Kleen throws an off balance right hand
and Kant counters with a nice double leg into side control. Kleen won't be happy with that. Kleen is looking to reverse the position. Kant trying to control the position but Kleen is working away. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kant lands some shots froms side control. Kleen stops Kant from passing to mount. Kleen is trying to improve his position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kant controlling from side mount. Kant cracks Kleen with a big right hand but Kleen just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Kleen is not content to let Kant control the position. Kant tries to cartwheel into mount but he doesn't manage it. Kant is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Kleen's shoulder. That is not cool. Kant wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kleen keeps working. Kleen is pushing Kant's head away, looking to escape. Kant manages to hold on to the position though.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Kleen manages to get back to half guard. Kant performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Kant winds up and cracks Kleen with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Kleen wants to control but Kant is keeping busy.
Kant is trying to control. Kleen wants to improve his position but can't escape this time. Kleen actively working from the bottom here. Kant is trying to control the action in half guard but Kleen is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Kleen wants to get back to full guard but Kant has mounted him! Kant sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kleen regains half guard. Kleen is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kant pulls his head out easily. Kleen is looking to escape. Kant is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena. Kleen is trying to get back to full guard. Kleen has hold of Kant's hands but Kant slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Kant trying to mount his opponent but Kleen defends it. Kleen is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Kant pulls his head out easily. Genghis Kant overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Kleen has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Kant is working away from the top position though. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kleen is trying to stand up here but Kant is controlling him well.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Genghis Kant dominated that second round. That's time! Back to the action! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round! Kant shoots in looking for a takedown. Kleen tries to sprawl out of it but Kant keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Kleen manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. Kant goes for a double leg but Kleen avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the ropes as Kleen continues to drive forward. Kleen ties up his opponent against the ropes and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Kleen no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard. Kant trying to control the position from guard on top but Kleen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kleen looking for a guillotine here but Kant defends easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Kleen is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Kant looking to sit in guard and control but Kleen gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kant is controlling Kleen's posture. Kleen wants to control from the top but Kant keeps moving. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Kleen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Kleen looking to pass the guard. Kleen missing there with some ground and pound from the guard. Kleen sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kant's guard. Kant wants to control but Kleen is keeping busy.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Kant regains full guard. Nicely done. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Kant is on top in guard.
Both fighters are breathing heavily. Kleen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kant defends well. Kant controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling. Kant trying to control the position from guard on top but Kleen is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Kleen is looking for a triangle but Kant pushes his legs off easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kant works over Kleen with some ground and pound from guard. Kleen working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Kant doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Kant manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Kleen looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Kant controls the pace of the fight for a moment. Kleen has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Kant can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Kant slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Kant wants to pass the guard but Kleen is keeping the position. Kant trying to control but Kleen is working from the bottom. Kant showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Kleen has his foot on Kant's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Kant works his way back into a safe position though. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Kleen is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Kant defends well. Kant controlling from the top position.
And that's the end of the fight! John Kleen comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Kleen has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
