Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ralphie White (ranked 2889 p4p, 3916 weight class) and Mark O Madsen (ranked 368 p4p, 469 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 13 - 20 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Ralphie White!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mark O Madsen!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Blasius, Paul Aken and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
White throws a body shot but no joy.
White ducks down and throws a hook to the body but O Madsen moves away.
White shoots in and drives through. O Madsen sprawls well.
O Madsen fails to land the takedown.
Nice defenses there by White.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
White scores with a decent looking hook.

It looks like Mark O Madsen has been cut.
O Madsen takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
We've been told by White's head coaches at MMA Training and Sparring Buddies that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
White swings and misses with a hook to the body.

O Madsen throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. White was covering up waiting for the punch and O Madsen finishes the takedown easily into guard.

White has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.

White will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The referee is pacing around the two fighters, thinking about a standup.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw O Madsen working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.
O Madsen throws an elbow that misses. White uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in O Madsen's guard. Nice move by White!


O Madsen is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
White slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
White advances nicely into full mount.

White stands up from the dominant position. He obviously fancies his chances standing.
White stuffs the takedown attempt from O Madsen. O Madsen gets slowly back to his feet.
White connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there.
O Madsen throws a body punch but White moves out of range.

Ralphie White has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mark O Madsen.
O Madsen shoots in looking for a takedown but White manages to keep the fight standing, pushing O Madsen's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
White closes this distance looking for a takedown but O Madsen circles away.
White stuns O Madsen with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
O Madsen takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

O Madsen tries to free his leg and advance position but White is retaining full guard.

White bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in O Madsen's guard.


White postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! O Madsen is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of White, into his guard.

White is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.
O Madsen looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple.

A really sloppy takedown attempt there from O Madsen.
O Madsen shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with White but White pushes him off and we're back to square one.
White lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.

This has been an exciting period of action!

O Madsen tries to score with some ground and pound. White controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

White throws a jab but it's blocked by O Madsen.
White stuffs the takedown attempt from O Madsen. O Madsen gets slowly back to his feet.

O Madsen drives through with a takedown into White's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

White can't keep his opponent in guard - O Madsen advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

O Madsen throws a strike but White rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


White got a little sloppy there for a moment and O Madsen has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, White has managed to get both his arms back between O Madsen's legs - danger averted.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

O Madsen is pressing down on White's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
White wants to pass the guard but O Madsen is keeping the position.

Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

White wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and O Madsen manages to pass to side control.

O Madsen stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. White swivels though and keeps the full guard.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as O Madsen accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as White accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
O Madsen blocks a jab.
O Madsen fails to land the takedown.

And that's the end of the fight!
Ralphie White showed his dominance in that final round.
I think White has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
