Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Don Johns (ranked 2109 p4p, 3615 weight class) and Derrick Lewis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Derrick Lewis told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 22 - 18 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Don Johns! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 11 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Derrick Lewis! The judges for this bout are Valeri Chadov, Ivan Kurochkin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johns throws a head kick that misses. Johns throws the kick towards the body but Lewis avoids it. Johns lands a right hook to the body.
Lewis keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A looping hook to the body misses from Johns. Lewis does a little dance to reset his feet. Lewis walks into a stiff left hand from Johns. Johns is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
It looks like Derrick Lewis has been cut. Don Johns seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Johns clinches with his opponent.
Lewis breaks from the clinch.
Johns jabs Lewis to the body, keeping him at a distance. Johns clinches up against the cage. A bit of stalling here from Johns.
Lewis pulls guard. This has been an exciting period of action! Johns lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Johns has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Johns stands up from Lewis's guard - Johns perhaps looking for a knockout. The fight stays on the outside here - Lewis looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Johns swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
That's one minute gone in the round. Johns tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lewis was well out of range. Poor timing from Johns. Lewis takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Lewis is rocked! Lewis leaves his chin hanging out and Johns seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Lewis crumbles to the floor in a heap! The referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Don Johns!
