Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Sylvester Malone (ranked 2472 p4p, 2829 weight class) and Ralph Hall (ranked 310 p4p, 350 weight class). Hall has chosen Pinball Wizard as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sylvester Malone!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 7 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ralph Hall!
The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Chris Edwards and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hall misses the shot to the body.
Malone feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Hall tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Malone was well out of range. Poor timing from Hall.
Malone swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Hall throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
Hall takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Hall swings for the body but Malone moves out of range.
A little feinted left hand from Malone on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Hall lands with a right hand.
Malone misses the shot to the body.
Malone gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Malone wants to slow Hall down by chopping away at his legs.
Hall is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hall slips a straight right by Malone.
Malone throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Malone walks into a left hand.

Malone shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Hall throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Malone's waist but Malone gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hall off to one side.
Malone uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Hall.
A little feinted left hand from Malone on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Hall moves out of range of the leg kick from Malone.
Hall lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Hall lands a really nice looking cross but Malone seems unphased.
Hall connects with a nice looking jab.
Hall has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.
Malone takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Hall paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Malone blocks a jab.
Nice straight punches there by Hall. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Hall.
Hall's corner calls for a 1-2. Hall obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Malone tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hall was well out of range. Poor timing from Malone.
Malone throws a solid leg kick but Hall takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Malone.
Malone looks to land a left hand but Hall moved out of range nicely.
Malone keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Hall looks to score with a jab to the body but Malone is just out of range.
Malone takes one to the side of the head.

Ralph Hall seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hall works the jab nicely.
Sylvester Malone is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Hall throws a good cross that connects.
Hall misses with a few strikes there.
Malone scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Hall slips under a jab.
Hall with the counter takedown but Malone avoids it easily.

We've been told by Malone's head coaches at Westside Martial Arts that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Malone throws a hook but Hall blocks it.
Hall jabs Malone right on the nose. Malone blinks but takes it well.
Hall cracks a nice hook into Malone's ribs.
Hall digs a good body shot into Malone's ribs.
Hall misses the body punch
and Malone counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hall looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Malone was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Hall lands a nice hook to Malone's body. Malone takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Malone defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hall.
Malone is looking to counter punch.

Malone buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
A shot to the liver by Hall. Beautiful body shot.
Malone misses with a hook. Hall ducked under it nicely.
Hall misses with a left hand
and Malone counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Malone throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

A jab from Hall finds it's way through Malone's defenses.
Hall swings for the body but Malone moves out of range.
An attempted straight right counter from Malone misses the target.

Hall clinches up with Malone and pushes him back against the cage.
Malone is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Hall is keeping busy.
Hall is trying to pull guard but Malone has him pressed against the cage.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Ralph Hall dominated that round.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Malone throws an overhand right that lands on Hall's shoulder, as Hall tries to avoid the shot.
Malone throws a leg kick that misses.
Hall is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.
Hall throws a jab but it's blocked by Malone.
Hall fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Hall is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Malone.

Hall clinches.
Hall tries to work over Malone's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target.
Hall tries to pull guard but Malone holds him up against the cage and eventually Hall drops back down to his feet.
Hall jumps guard but Malone stands there with Hall around his waist. Hall gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Hall tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Sylvester Malone has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ralph Hall.
Hall blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

Hall manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Malone slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Hall is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Malone content to stall in guard here.

Malone got a little sloppy there for a moment and Hall has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Malone has managed to get both his arms back between Hall's legs - danger averted.
Malone looking to control the position here, rather than advance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Hall had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Malone defends it easily.

Hall working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Malone doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Malone manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Malone seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Hall throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Malone escapes and throws Hall's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Hall is trying to improve his position.
Malone controlling the position.
Hall is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Malone off and has taken his back!

Hall is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Malone won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Hall off his unconscious opponent!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Ralph Hall!
Ralph Hall bigged himself up after the win. The crowd seemed to love it.
