Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nig Nig (ranked 955 p4p, 1096 weight class) and Tomomi Tsuruta (ranked 130 p4p, 150 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 23 - 19 - 2, fighting out of Tokyo, Nig Nig! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 34 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Tomomi Tsuruta! The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Taro Takaoka and Kenichi Hosakawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Nig moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Tsuruta throws out a loose jab but Nig uses good head movement to avoid it. Tsuruta fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. The fighters circle momentarily. Nig darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch. Tsuruta connects with a crisp jab. Nig keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Nig was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger. A telegraphed right hand from Tsuruta misses the target. Nig has been working on his boxing with his coaches at House of 1000 Corpses in the buildup to the fight. Tsuruta misses with a combination
and Nig counters with a lovely straight right hand! Nice uppercut lands for Tsuruta. That snapped Nig's head back.
Nig lunges at Tsuruta with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Tsuruta's hand. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Tsuruta throws an off balance right hand
and Nig counters with a crisp right hand that drops Tsuruta! Nig lets Tsuruta back up to his feet, looking for a finish!
Tsuruta is rocked! Tsuruta misses with an uppercut
and Nig rattles Tsuruta with a well-timed uppercut counter. - Tsuruta tries to back away and recover but his hands are down low and he gets tagged again, sending him stumbling down to the canvas. Nig dives in after him and quickly finishes the job with a trio of brutal punches, leaving Tsuruta stiff and motionless on the mat!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:50 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Strikes). Nig Nig! After the fight, Nig Nig was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
