Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Ralphie Maldonado (ranked 633 p4p, 534 weight class) and Edison Atunes (ranked 94 p4p, 82 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 19 - 11 - 1, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ralphie Maldonado!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 29 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Edison Atunes!
The judges for this bout are Sosuke Kotani, Yasuomi Hirokawa and Ren Mimura.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Atunes moves out of range of the leg kick from Maldonado.
Maldonado throws a lazy uppercut
and Atunes counters with a head kick that drops Maldonado to the mat! Maldonado scrambles across the canvas and gets back to his feet, still wobbly!
Maldonado is rocked!
A clash of legs there as Atunes blocks the low kick.
Oh Maldonado is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Atunes feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Maldonado sprawling to the canvas! Maldonado rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Atunes finish him?!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Atunes throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
A nice inside leg kick there by Maldonado. That's going to slow Atunes down.
Maldonado avoids the body shot from Atunes.
Maldonado moves away from the strike by Atunes.
An attempted straight right counter from Maldonado misses the target.
Maldonado seems to have got his legs back now.
The crowd cheers as Maldonado lands an impressive looking overhand right. Atunes doesn't seem phased though.
Some wild striking there from Maldonado.
Atunes steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Maldonado.
Maldonado pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Maldonado getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Maldonado looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Atunes swings for the body but Maldonado moves out of range.
Atunes takes one on the chin but seems OK.
Maldonado pushes Atunes away with a front kick.
Atunes lands a big right hand that sends Maldonado crashing to the mat! Atunes stays standing though and waves Maldonado back to his feet!
Atunes drops Maldonado with a straight right hand, right on the button! Atunes follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Edison Atunes!
As Edison Atunes got his breath back, he grabbed the microphone and managed to blurt out the following: He will probably die later. '.
