Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Leroy Brown (ranked 1162 p4p, 770 weight class) and Jamil Hurst (ranked 174 p4p, 112 weight class). Hurst has chosen Keep Their Heads Ringin' as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Jamil Hurst has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Leroy Brown!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 10 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jamil Hurst!
The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Franklyn Lucas and Lou da Vinci.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurst shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Brown is trying to defend but Hurst finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Brown is trying to get back to full guard.
Hurst winds up and cracks Brown with a swinging punch to the side of the head.
Brown is trying to maintain the position but Hurst is very close to passing his half guard.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Hurst working his ground and pound in the gym. So far it seems to be working well.
Brown makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Brown.
Brown is trying to control the position from the bottom.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Brown throws his legs up looking for a submission but Hurst uses it to pass to side control.
Brown is positioning himself to get back to half guard.
Hurst is pausing for a moment. What's he doing? It looks like he's clearing his nose. Oh dude! He's shot a load of snot all down Brown's shoulder. That is not cool.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Hurst has hold of Brown's arm here. He's working for an Americana. It looks like he might have it! Brown tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Hurst cranks the arm and Brown screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Brown, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:31 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Americana). Jamil Hurst!
A very excited looking Jamil Hurst made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
