Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Julius Lew (ranked 3260 p4p, 5795 weight class) and Bens Jamins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Bens Jamins was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Julius Lew! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 7 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Bens Jamins! The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Gregory Folan and Yves DeLean.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jamins throws a shot from downtown. Lew moves away and avoids it. Lew is trying to close the distance and clinch up, after that failed offence from Jamins. Lew with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Lew works his jab well there, keeping his opponent at a distance. Jamins throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Lew counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Lew lands with a left to the head. Lew lands a hook that snaps the head of Jamins backwards. Lew lands with a short head shot on the inside. A nice left hand lands by Lew.
Lew scores a nice knee to the body.
Jamins looks winded! Lew pulls guard effortlessly. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. There's a bit of a scramble here and now Lew is on top in guard.
Lew passes into half guard. Lew is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Jamins!
That's one minute gone in the round. Lew controlling his opponent. Lew landing strikes from the mount and Jamins is in trouble! Lew controlling his opponent.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Lew has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent. Lew continues to stall.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Lew landing strikes from the mount. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Lew moves to back control. Lew working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Jamins is doing well to defend. Lew seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Jamins is forced to tap and this one is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:58 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Julius Lew! During a confident post fight interview, Julius Lew thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
