Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Dinny McDowell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Tibor Terej!
The judges for this bout are Michael Johnstone, Peter Branson and Daniel Franklin.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by McDowell misses

and Terej counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Terej wants to free his trapped foot but McDowell is holding on for dear life with his legs.
McDowell wants to control but Terej is keeping busy.
Terej seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Terej trying to mount his opponent but McDowell defends it.
Terej with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
It looks like Terej might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Let's hope that Terej has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Terej has been taking part in the yoga sessions down at Cozad The Island. Presumably he's going to look for a slick submission... Or maybe he's looking to avoid one.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up.

Terej drives through with a takedown into McDowell's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Terej pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. McDowell is keeping the position for now.
Terej is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

McDowell misses with a wild body shot.
McDowell tries to clinch but Terej moves out of range.

Terej is staying tight to McDowell's torso, preventing him from escaping.
McDowell on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if McDowell tries to get out of the position.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Terej is continuing to stall.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
McDowell is looking for a sweep.
McDowell is working hard here to advance position.
Terej moves into full mount!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Terej controlling from mount.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.

Tibor Terej dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare each other down, ready to get back to the action.

McDowell throws a big shot that misses.

McDowell gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Terej's corner is telling him to maintain position.
McDowell not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Terej is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
We're seeing a lot of stalling here from Terej.
The adventures of Terej the control monster continue. Boring.

The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
McDowell wants to clinch.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Terej! But no joy.

Terej changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. McDowell looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Terej has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

McDowell is trying to improve his position.

Terej passes to full mount! That's big trouble for McDowell!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Yet more stalling tactics from Terej.

Tibor Terej showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! McDowell's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!

Terej uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from McDowell.
Nice uppercut there from McDowell.
Terej connects with a single shot there.

Terej gets the takedown into side control.
McDowell seems a little lost for a moment, as Terej dominates the positioning.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Terej tries to move into full mount but can't pass McDowell's legs.
Terej advances to mount.
Terej looking to control and managing it successfully.

McDowell can't escape the position.
Terej punishing his opponent with strikes.
Terej content just to control the position here.
More stalling from Terej.
Tibor Terej is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Dinny McDowell has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Tibor Terej has got the better of the ground game so far.

Tibor Terej comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Terej has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
