PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Stick Figure Uno (ranked 3979 p4p, 5170 weight class) and Eddy Moura (ranked 380 p4p, 431 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 2 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Stick Figure Uno!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Eddy Moura!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Dmitry Maklakov and Konstantin Menshow.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Moura shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Figure Uno sprawls well. Figure Uno wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Moura gets slowly back to his feet.
A little feinted left hand from Figure Uno on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Moura moves forwards but Figure Uno connects with a nice, crisp jab.
Figure Uno definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Moura tries to clinch there but Figure Uno circles away.
Moura on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
Moura changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Figure Uno tries to avoid it but Moura manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Figure Uno to the ground. Figure Uno escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Moura tries for a takedown but Figure Uno sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
It looked like Figure Uno wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Stick Figure Uno has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Eddy Moura.
Moura looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Figure Uno scores with a sloppy right hand. Moura should have avoided that one.

Figure Uno works the jab nicely.
Figure Uno is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Moura throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Moura shoots in looking for a takedown. Figure Uno tries to sprawl out of it but Moura keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Figure Uno manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Figure Uno pounces like a tiger and cracks Moura with a vicious hook! Moura is down but not out! Figure Uno follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!
