Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carvel Watkins (ranked 24538 p4p, 5263 weight class) and Geraint Jones (ranked 647 p4p, 582 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Carvel Watkins!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Geraint Jones!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, Joseph Jones and John Kavanagh.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones misses with a jab, cross combination.
Jones will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Jones fails to land with a series of punches.
Jones misses with a two punch combination.
Watkins went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Watkins misses with a body shot.
Watkins will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Geraint Jones seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Watkins doesn't manage to clinch there - Jones circles away.
We've been informed that Jones has been sparring a lot of Muay Thai in the buildup to this fight so let's see if that has an impact on the result.

Watkins tries to clinch up but Jones circles away and keeps his distance.
Jones unleashes a big counter combination but Watkins bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Watkins changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Jones tries to avoid it but Watkins manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Jones to the ground. Jones escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Jones tries to bum rush Watkins with a series of wild strikes but Watkins uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Jones looks to land a right hand but Watkins moved out of range.
Watkins is looking to counter punch.
Watkins misses with a wild body shot.
Jones misses with a double jab.
Jones gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Watkins tries to pull guard but Jones holds him up against the cage and eventually Watkins drops back down to his feet.
Watkins tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Watkins has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Jones after a bit of a struggle.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Jones creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Jones throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Watkinss head.

Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Jones works on Watkins's body with a couple of short punches.
Jones prevents a takedown attempt there.
Jones stalling here - the referee won't stand for too much of that.

Watkins decides to pull guard.
Jones wants to control from the top but Watkins keeps moving.
Jones lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Watkins can't keep his opponent in guard - Jones advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Jones drops an elbow to the side of Watkins's head.

Jones lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Jones working over Watkins with some ground and pound. Watkins looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable.

Watkins on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound.
Watkins has hold of Jones's hands but Jones slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.
Jones drops an elbow to the side of Watkins's head.
Watkins is rocked!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Watkins is breathing heavily.
Watkins tries to kick Jones off but Jones keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Jones is working for a kimura but Watkins is defending it quite comfortably.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Jones looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Jones takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Jones connects with a nice short shot to Watkins's temple.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Geraint Jones dominated that round.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Jones throws a left that rocks Watkins and follows with a right that sends him tumbling to the canvas! Jones dives into side control, looking to finish! Can Watkins regain composure!
Oh Watkins is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
It looks like Carvel Watkins has been cut.
Jones lands an elbow.
Watkins is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Jones is one step ahead and moves to full mount!
Whack. That's a big, big shot from Jones! Watkins is out cold! This one is all over!
