The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No luck for Vrjalya with that takedown attempt. No luck with that takedown attempt from Vrjalya. Vrjalya decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Vrjalya is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Santos has managed to free his arm - good work. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Santos tries to roll over but Vrjalya keeps him under control. Vrjalya is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Vrjalya is pressing down on Santos's thigh, looking to free his foot. Santos is holding on for now. Vrjalya is looking for a kimura here.
