Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Jamie Hull (ranked 1873 p4p, 2911 weight class) and Spencer Williams (ranked 115 p4p, 296 weight class). Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jamie Hull! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Spencer Williams! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hull fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Williams, pushing him back against the cage. Hull manages to pull guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Hull working a defensive guard but Williams passes into half guard.
Hull keeps control of the position for the meantime. Williams wants to pass to mount but Hull is defending the position. Hull is looking for a sweep. Williams is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Williams seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Hull does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Williams perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Hull looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Hull wants to get back to full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Williams trying to pass the guard but Hull defending well. Hull is trying to control but can't.
Hull is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The fighters are battling for position here. Hull manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Williams looking to pass the guard. Hull is trying to keep Williams in close.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Williams slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Williams working away. Hull tries to bench press Williams off him but Williams keeps the position. Hull is working hard here to advance position. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Hull tries to get back to half guard but can't. Williams trying to control the position but Hull is working away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hull is trying to control Williams's posture but Williams avoids it. Hull is not content to let Williams control the position. Hull tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Williams wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Williams staying calm. Hull is trying to control Williams's posture but Williams avoids it. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. The referee asks Williams politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. Williams prefers to stall for the moment though. Hull is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Williams's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hull wants to control but Williams is keeping busy.
Williams is figuring out what he wants to do next. Hull tries to roll over but Williams keeps him under control. Hull has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Williams is working away from the top position though.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Hull fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Hull shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Hull clinches up against the cage. Hull pulls Williams into guard.
And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Spencer Williams will probably get the nod. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! Williams misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out. Hull shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Hull showed some decent athleticism there. Hull is figuring out what he wants to do next. Williams is defending against the submission attempts here by Hull.
Williams felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. Williams preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hull is working for a submission of some sort.

Hull seems to be working for a kimura but Williams defends the submission attempt. Hull looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Williams won't allow Hull to pass to mount. Hull is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Williams doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Hull. Hull is looking to pass Williams's guard but actually Williams recovers to full guard. Williams pulls Hull in close to his closed guard and prevents Hull from doing any damage or advancing position. Hull trying to control but Williams is working from the bottom.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hull pushes down on Williams's leg and manages to get into half guard. Hull tries to pass the half guard into mount. Williams knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Williams works his way to full guard. Good work. Hull showing good wrestling skills to control the position. Williams manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hull manages to get himself to full guard.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams in the domination position with Hull hanging on. Williams working away. Hull is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Williams's leg. He's managed it. Nice work. Williams seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Williams is looking to advance position but Hull won't allow it. Williams wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hull keeps working. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Williams with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Hull tries to roll over but Williams keeps him under control. And that is the end of the round. The fighters go back to their corners.
Jamie Hull dominated that second round. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!
Williams shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Hull pulls Williams in close to prevent any damage. Hull is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Williams controls from within his opponent's guard. Williams being controlled here momentarily. Hull controls Williams momentarily but Williams frees himself. Williams doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Williams manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Williams scores with a decent looking elbow strike. Williams passes easily into side control. Nice work. Hull is trying to improve his position. Williams is looking to take a break and control but Hull is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Williams in side control, just content to control the action for now.

Hull tries to control the position but he's not in luck - Williams easily slips into full mount! Williams sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Hull prevents any damage by holding on tight.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Hull is trying desperately to improve position. Hull is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Hull is looking to get to half guard. Hull wants to hold on but Williams pushes him away. Williams controlling from the full mount. Hull is wriggling around trying to escape.
Williams can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Hull is looking to escape. Spencer Williams is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Spencer Williams has got the better of the ground game so far.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Williams takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. Hull tries to lock up and control but Williams gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Williams tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position. Williams prevents Hull from getting the reversal. Williams controlling the pace for now. Hull wants to control but Williams is having none of it. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! And that's the end of the fight! Spencer Williams comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Williams has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
