Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kobe Bryant!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 11 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Quintus Dias!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Steve Smith and Alec Ball.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bryant throws a series of punches but Dias avoids them all with ease.
Bryant throws a body punch but Dias moves out of range.
Bryant tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
No joy there for Bryant, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Bryant avoids a punch combination nicely.
Bryant misses with a head kick.
Bryant fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Dias manages to avoid it.
Bryant swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Dias tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Bryant paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Bryant will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dias bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
It looks like Kobe Bryant has been cut.
Dias fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Bryant manages to avoid it.
Bryant throws a series of punches but Dias moves out of range.
Dias throws a counter combo.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Dias ducks under a wild hook from Bryant.
Bryant throws a head kick that misses.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Dias has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Bryant throws a body shot but no joy.
As Bryant backs off Dias throws a huge counter combo but Bryant manages to avoid it all.
Dias swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Bryant counters with a series of strikes. Dias will be more careful next time no doubt.
Bryant lands a left and a right that send Dias crashing to the mat, dazed. Bryant thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Dias is rocked!
Dias rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bryant moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Dias is still on wobbly legs! Can Bryant finish him?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Dias throws a low kick but Bryant avoids it.
Whack! Dias lands a heavy head kick that drops Bryant. The ref tackles Dias to stop the fight - a great save by the referee because Bryant was done.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Quintus Dias!
Post fight, an emotional Quintus Dias said 'I’d like to have a special shout out for my wife, thank you, baby, if you didn’t rim my ass before the fight I don’t think I would have been able to pull the W tonight. '.
